The MCHA Board includes a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Board Member, and also includes one resident board member. The roles and responsibilities of the members of the Board of Commissioners include:
- Set policy and direction of PHA.
- Adopt and oversee budgets and obtain sufficient funds for each.
- Hire and retain qualified executive director.
- Serve as an advocate for housing locally, regionally and nationally.
- Ensure that the PHA operates in a manner that is efficient, within the law, and prevents mismanagement, fraud and discrimination.
